21세기는 전 세계적으로 정보화와 고령화가 급속도로 진행 중이다. 이와 맞물려 ICT기술과 실버산업의 융합이 대세로 떠올랐다. 많은 전문가들이 이 분야를 대표적인 고성장 유망사업으로 꼽을 정도다.

㈜씨앤피 박경민 대표이사의‘ICT융합 실버산업 원천기술’이 14일 여의도 63빌딩 컨벤션센터에서 열린 ‘2017년 제52회 발명의 날 기념식’에서 영예의 특허청장표창을 2년 연속 수상했다.

박 대표는 노인 등 시력이 좋지 않은 사람들이 업무 및 일상생활에서 사용할 수 있는 전자확대경 등을 ICT융합 실버산업 및 기술과 접목해 순수 국산기술로 발전시킨 공로를 인정받았다.

박 대표는 이날 수상식에서 “㈜씨앤피가 자체 기술로 개발한 카메라 모듈이 세계 1위 시장인 독일에서 일본 소니사와 경쟁하면서 시장 진입에 성공하는 등 원천기술 분야에서 두각을 나타내는 유망기술 벤처기업으로 성장했다”며 “2016년 기준 매출액 대비 R&D 투자 비율을 27%로 책정, 집중적인 연구개발 투자를 통한 R&D 역량 및 품질 기술 경쟁력을 강화하는데 기여하고 있다”고 소감을 전했다.

한편, 박 대표는 미국, 프랑스, 독일, 영국, 일본 등 해외 선진국에서 ‘Chris Park(크리스박)’이라는 이름으로 잘 알려져 있다.

박 대표는 해당 분야 세계 1위, 2위의 원천기술을 가지고 있던 미국 Ai Squard·GW Micro사 등에서 개발 및 사업총괄 이사를 역임하면서 ICT기술이 융합된 고령친화 제품 및 보조공학 산업 발전을 주도했다. 그는 지난 2012년 한국으로 돌아와 ㈜씨앤피 대표이사로 취임한 후 원천 핵심기술의 국산화 및 관련 산업 발전에 주력해 왔다. 박 대표는 그 공로를 인정받아 2014년 산업통상자원부장관 표창, 2016년 특허청장 표창, 2017년 ICT융합산업 발전 유공자 국무총리 표창을 수상한 바 있다.

회사 관계자는 “㈜씨앤피는 특허청의 IP스타기업, 중소기업청의 수출유망 중소기업, TCB기술평가 우수기업, 바이오헬스분야의 선도 기업으로 지정되어 있으며 발명품 모두 ‘Designed by Chris Park’이라는 자체 상표로 26개국에 직수출하고 있다”고 전했다.

Meanwhile, Mr. Park also known as Chris Park in advanced countries like the US, France, Germany, the UK, Japan and so on. Mr. Park served as a director of development and business generalization in AI Squared and GW Micro, USA which owned the world’s first and second source technology in that field. He led senior-friendly product fused with ICT technology and assistive technology industry while working there. In 2012, Mr. Park came back to Korea and was appointed as the CEO of C&P Co. Ltd then focused on having source technology turn into Korean technology and developing related industry. Mr. Park won commendation from the minister of the ministry of trade and industry, 2014, commendation of commissioner of KIPO, 2016, commendation of prime minister for ICT fusion industry development 2017. Company official said “ C&P Co. Ltd was designated as an IP Star company by KIPO, a promising export small and medium company by small and medium business Administration, an excellent company by TCB technology evaluation and a leading company in the field of bio-health.
